Like many in the class of 1960, I migrated to MSU. Graduating in December of 1966, I moved to Chicago and began a career in Advertising with the Chicago Tribune. Seven years later I was back in Michigan, divorced and looking to reinvent myself. After riding a motorcycle across country and back, I evolved to Grand Rapids and met an incredible English lady who married me and has put up with me ever since. Thirty five years later, I find myself back in Lansing, still working, still married and still looking for ways to reinvent myself.
I’ve done a few things and had a lot of interests: road racing (Mini Cooper), motorcycle touring, fly-fishing, photography, ballroom dancing, skeet shooting, golf (bad), played in a rock band, I taught at Ferris and Davenport Universities and I do a bit of writing. I have four children who have made me very proud and two wonderful grandsons who keep me young and remind me I’m old at the same time. |
