Rodney LeRoy Rapp, age 80, of Rosebush passed away Monday, September 19, 2022, at his home under the care of Promedica Hospice.

Funeral Services for Rod will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Monday, September 26, 2022, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Brian Yost officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodland Cemetery in Rosebush. A Luncheon will follow the committal service in the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 25, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family which will be used to form a wrestling scholarship in Rod's name. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Rod was born on May 14, 1942, in Lansing, son of Arthur and Elizabeth (Woods) Rapp. Rod married Patricia Ann Stone on June 20, 1964, in Plymouth, MI. After obtaining his master's degree, Rod took pride in being a teacher for over 37 years. He was an avid supporter of Mt. Pleasant High School and CMU's wrestling programs. Rod was a life long farmer, and loved farming with his family. He enjoyed hunting, spending time outdoors, downhill skiing, water skiing, but most importantly, spending time with his family. Rod loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports and show horses. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Free Methodist Church.

Rod is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pat Rapp; children, Kimberly (Thad) O'Boyle of St. Louis, Jennifer (Kyle) Pipkin of White Lake, MI, and Amy (Dan) Schell of Rosebush; six grandchildren, Taylor and Kodi O'Boyle, Josh, Katelyn, and Tyler Schell, and Madisyn Pipkin; and two nieces and one nephew.

Rod was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Rapp; and sister, Cathy Hawkins.
