Jerry D. Hoffman

Lansing, Michigan

Age 72, passed away January 13, 2015.  He was born March 27, 1942, in Lansing, to Kenneth L. and Helen M. (Grinstern) Hoffman.  Jerry graduated from MSU and worked for GM for 30 years.  He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years.  Jerry enjoyed outdoor gardening, photography and woodworking.

Jerry was preceded in death by:  his parents and brother, Larry R. Hoffman.  Surviving are:  sisters, Karen Sue (James H.) Stump of Lansing and Mary Jo Detzler of Lansing; nephews, Michael (Kim) Stump of Mason, Todd (Maureen) Stump of DeWitt and Tom Detzler of Lansing; many loving grand-nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, with interment to follow in North Cemetery.  His family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, and one hour prior to the funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lansing, Inc. or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Jerry D. Hoffman.
