Gary Watson

 

Gary L. Watson DVM, Ph.D. Webberville Age 67, passed away at his home, January 26, 2010. He was born October 10, 1942, in Gladwin, MI. Gary was a proud graduate of Michigan State University, and was an avid Spartan fan, especially enjoying Hockey. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, and retired from MSU as an Associate Professor in Veterinary Pathology. In the spring, he enjoyed mushroom hunting. Surviving are: his wife of 43 years, Eleanor; 3 children, Dawn Marie (Ron) Cooper of Fowlerville, Cherie (Colin) Frank of Savannah, GA, and Kris (Tony) Drumheller of Lansing; 2 grandsons, Drew and Brennan Drumheller; and his 2 dogs, Shadow and Solo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alga and Marjorie (Scott) Watson. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. A private graveside service will be held on Monday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to MSU College of Veterinary Medicine, or to the American Diabetes Asociation.
