Van Vliet, Delbert Peter. November 16, 2016. Age 74 of Dundee. Beloved husband of Laura Van Vliet for 50 years. Loving father of Michele Van Vliet, and D. Peter (Marie) Van Vliet. Dear brother of Foster (Judy) Van Vliet Jr., David Van Vliet, and Janice Van Vliet. Dearest grandfather of Emmanuel, Joshua, Jacob, and Dominic. Beloved brother in-law, uncle, and cousin. Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, Foster and Harriet Van Vliet. Delbert had a passion for soccer, which he enjoyed with his son whom he coached, and continued to enjoy years later as he watched his grandsons excel on the field. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. Visitation Friday, November 18, 2016 from 2- 8 p.m. at the Dearborn Chapel of Voran Funeral Home, 23701 Ford Road. (313) 278-5100. Rosary Service Friday evening at 7 p.m. In state Saturday 9:30 a.m. with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection to follow at St. Albert The Great Catholic Church, Annapolis & Parker, Dearborn Heights.
