Thomas Brian Kiwala

Born 09/11/1942, passed away on 12/27/2013 at 1:03 PM. Pam Cavey, Tom's girlfriend of over 20 years, was at his side. Tom passed away from cancer at age 71.
"Tom and I were best of friends for 61 years. Our goals in life changed in our 20s, but we always stayed in touch. Travel was high on Tom's list of priorities (South America & the Islands). He lived his life his way, a bachelor his whole life. No regrets I was aware of - RIP!"

Thought the world of Tom. Went thru Jr. & Sr. High with him & both had last names starting with a "K", keeping us in the same home- room thru out. What a terrific guy...played his trumpet like a pro. I knew Tom way back when we were 4 or 5. The Kiwala's lived by us and
we went to school together along with Mike Fedewa, Dave Beck, Ed Kaufman
and many others. It was always a lot of fun in the Sycamore Park area. I missed him
after he moved away from Michigan. Even though they gave my father a hard time,
they were always very kind to my mother.

Knew Tom well as a student and friend at Mt Hope, Walter French and Eastern. He was a great guy. We played pool, hockey and many other things (not mentionable here). He was a free spirit, liked by all who met him. Last saw him at the 25 year class reunion. So sorry to hear of his passing.
