Morrice - Gerald A. Bailey "JB", age 75, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 2, 2017, at the Perry Church of the Nazarene, 3100 W. Ellsworth Rd., Perry, with Rev. Timothy Harmon officiating. Visitation will take place from 5-7 PM, on Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 1106 S. Washington St, Owosso; and Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Gerald's final resting place will be with beloved family at Union Home Cemetery, Maple Rapids.

Gerald was born May 21, 1942, the son of Almon and Edith (Russell) Bailey. He graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1960. He served in the Michigan Army National Guard, Co. E, 107th Maintenance Battalion from 1960 to 1964 as an aircraft mechanic.

Gerald married Judith (Ward) Bailey on May 15, 1981 at the Olivet Baptist Church in Lansing. Gerald worked as an HVAC technician with the Trane Co. for 50 years.

Gerald enjoyed restoring Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Mechanics/Engineering were his passions. He was well known for bringing old machinery back to life and tinkering on a project or two. His life-long passion for airplanes and skydiving were evident in the memories he shared.

He is survived by a brother, Robert (Sandy) Bailey; son, Scott Harkness; daughter Nikki (Scott) Bindschatel; grandsons, Jared, Jeremy, and Jace Bindschatel; sister-in-law Connie Zimmerman; nephews Owen (Cathy) Bailey; Todd (Vicki) Zimmerman; nieces Sheila (Allen) Winters, Tricia (Wayne) Bovenachen, Heather (Whitney) Thomas, Kimberly (James) Neal; as well as several loving cousins, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, and many dear friends.

He was predeceased by his wife and his parents.
